Appliance Repair Technician

Job Summary

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household and commercial appliances. Your role will involve working directly with customers to ensure that their appliances are repaired efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Proven experience as an appliance repair technician or in a similar field.
  • Experience working with major household appliances including stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing both electrical and mechanical issues.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of appliance systems, components, and schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of common household appliances.
  • Familiarity with various tools and diagnostic equipment for appliance repairs.
  • Basic understanding of wiring, plumbing, and electrical systems as they relate to appliances.

Certifications & Licensing:

  • Manufacturer-specific certifications or training (preferred, but not necessary).

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and accurately, providing cost-effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail in repairs and maintenance.

Customer Service Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Ability to explain technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical customers.
  • A customer-first attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy appliances (up to 50 lbs or more).
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces and on ladders.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and lifting.

Time Management & Organization:

  • Ability to manage a daily schedule of appointments and ensure timely arrival and completion of repairs.
  • Strong organizational skills, including maintaining accurate records of repairs, parts, and service history.

Work Ethic:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to safety protocols, including the use of proper protective gear.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality service.

Technology Skills:

  • Ability to use mobile apps or diagnostic software to log service calls, track repairs, and order parts.
  • Familiarity with basic computer and smartphone applications to manage schedules and communicate with the office.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Knowledge of energy-efficient appliances and modern smart appliance technologies.
  • Ability to repair or install specialty appliances such as wine coolers or trash compactors.
  • Experience with commercial-grade appliances (optional, depending on the scope of work).

A/C Technician

Job Summary

We’re hiring an A/C Technician to handle installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial A/C systems. EPA 608 Certification required (can be earned after hire).  Join our team and grow your career today!

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certification preferred
  • EPA 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal) required, but can be attained post hire
  • Experience Preferred, but not essential in residential and/or commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Willingness and ability to understand HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical wiring, and mechanical components
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Familiar using and able to learn how to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety standards
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to work on-call shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces, rooftops, or extreme temperatures
  • (Optional) NATE certification or other industry credentials a plus
